We keep searching and searching and searching for answers, day in and day out. Books, seminars, DVD's, magazine articles, even online sources (including, dare I say, blogs) are constantly offering us answers to our questions. Of course, often times the answer is the wrong one for us specifically, but might be the right answer for the person next to us. The world is full of answers, we just have to find the right answer for US!
Here's the ultimate kicker though: You will not find the answer you are looking for in a book or in a religious gathering place or in a seminar or in another person. You will only find the answer IN YOURSELF. Answers are not external. Answers are always within.
Have you ever felt so overwhelmed that you just wish someone would tell you what to do? You are struggling with a decision and you hear yourself saying to someone "just tell me what I should do?" Even if that person told you what they thought you should do--that answer is coming from within them...not you. We all seek external support, external validation, external love. You have to remember, however, that those things are biased. Think about it: consciously or subconsciously, well-meaning or not--people can sway your decision or thought process one way or another by sharing their opinion on what you should do or think or feel.
But, we do need each other as human beings. We NEED support. We NEED validation. We NEED love. We also need to nurture those things in ourselves, however, before we search for them outside of ourselves. We have all the answers we will ever need right inside of us--we just have to quiet ourselves and trust ourselves enough to find them.
