Falling for Fall

I love Fall. It's my favorite season. (I do realize that as each season wanes, I'm looking forward to the upcoming season with great anticipation.) One of the reasons I like Fall so much, is that I am a homebody at heart. Fall gives us permission to stay inside. It gives us permission to bake wonderful creations without as much worry of the caloric content. It gives us permission to get a little softer around our edges; insulation for winter, right? I love the crisp air that greets us in the morning, the light fog, the occasional sun peeking through--and, when we are really lucky--all of those things with a blue sky! I took the above picture outside of our house this last week. The sun was out, the sky was blue, the leaves were changing color and the wind would blow them off down the street, the air was cool, it was quiet...except for the ticking of the timer telling us the muffins were almost done!

I couldn't agree with you more with this post! I LOVE Fall too for the same reasons and it gives me an excuse to make stuff with pumpkin. I made pumpkin pancakes this morning and it brought a smile to my boys faces :-) Great picture too!!!!
